How we assess at HSF
At Hempstead Schools Federation we assess against the end of year expectations for each NC Year Group as set out in the Primary National Curriculum 2014. We track pupils' progress through an online system called Target Tracker, which is now used by over 25% of UK schools. Attainment is matched against the end of year objectives presented in 'Bands'. Band 1 is Year 1, Band 2 is Year 2, etc.
